JoSAA Data · 2016–2025
Enter your rank and see which IIT programs were chosen by students with similar ranks last year, and how those cutoffs have shifted over the years. Data from the official JoSAA website.
Results show programmes whose 2025 closing rank overlaps with a band centred on your rank. The band width scales with rank — ±50 at the top (e.g. rank 520 → 470–570), widening to ±200 in the thousands and ±2,000 beyond rank 20,000 — because a 100-rank difference matters a lot at rank 500 but very little at rank 15,000. The sparkline shows how each programme's closing rank has moved year on year; hover a bar for exact figures.
Old IITs — the original five (Kharagpur, Bombay, Madras, Kanpur, Delhi), established 1951–1961.
Gen 2 — Guwahati, Roorkee, BHU Varanasi, ISM Dhanbad. Well-established with strong placement records.
Gen 3 — New IITs set up post-2008 (Hyderabad, Indore, Gandhinagar, Jodhpur, Patna, Ropar, Bhubaneswar, Mandi, Tirupati, Palakkad and others). Still maturing — lower cutoffs but the IIT brand and research environment are intact.
