Being an EP student at IITM enables you to get the best of both worlds - Electrical Engineering and Physics. This helps students apply for EE jobs in various profiles like Digital, Analog Design, Signal Processing, Control and Robotics, etc. On the physics frontier, it also opens up research opportunities in academia as well as industry. Graduates with a strong background in physics are highly valued not only in academia but also in industries that rely on scientific and technical expertise. A case is the major thrust in quantum science and technology across the world and in both academia and key corporates. The combination of a strong physics and EE foundation equips students with the necessary skills to pursue higher studies as well, such as doctoral programs, or to embark on careers in research and development within academic institutions, government laboratories, or private organizations.
